  • To register you must be a resident of New Haven, CT. Please provide proof of address with a photo ID. If your ID does not have a New Haven Address, you can present a utility bill in your name, copy of a rental lease, or other government issued mail.

  • You must have proof of employment eligibility. This can include a social security card, green card, permanent resident card, US birth certificate, or US passport.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of New Haven Works. We connect New Haven residents to good jobs and provide a valuable referral service to employers committed to local hiring. Please read the following carefully before completing your registration.

How to apply Complete the short online registration form with your name, address, contact information, and resume. You will also be asked to confirm basic eligibility criteria. All information must be provided to be considered. Multiple submissions will not increase your chances of selection.

Selection process Due to high demand, spots are limited. Each month we randomly select approximately 25 individuals from completed registrations. A number of slots are reserved for residents of under-served neighborhoods. All applicants will be notified by email.

Orientation schedule Orientations are held twice each month, on the third Saturday and one Thursday, to accommodate a range of member schedules. Saturday orientations begin at 8:30am and Thursday orientations begin at 5:30pm. If you are selected, you will receive an email with your assigned orientation date and time.

Selected applicants will receive an email and phone call with orientation details and a list of required eligibility documents.
